Google Issues Global Warning Of Flash Sites In Mobile Results

Oct 29, 2014 - 8:44 am 2 by

In July, Google began showing flash warnings to mobile users in the US English search results. That was supposedly expanded globally earlier this month, when Google's Pierre Far announced this on his personal Google+ page.

It seems like now, Google is notifying webmasters of this change on their international Google Webmaster blogs.

Google's Johannes Mehlem, from the Dublin office, posted on Google+ a link to the Google Ireland blog about this notice being posted today on that blog. It was also posted on many of the various localized versions of the Google Webmaster blogs today.

Here is a screen shot:

Google Flash Warning More Countries

I guess Google is trying to get the word out to publishers now and posting it on Google+ didn't reach too many people?

Update: I am told by Johannes Mehlem of Google that this is indeed rolling out more places, he told me:

Pierre mentioned that this snippet can be seen for Spanish searchers on google.es and Japanese searches on google.co.jp next to English queries on google.co.uk. Today, we are launching this for more non-English queries.
